About Archworks

Built by practitioners.
For practitioners.

Archworks started with a simple observation: the gap between what engineering teams need and what they can hire for keeps getting wider.

Thiago Sousa went from mechanical engineering to managing a construction company, to co-founding a constructech startup, to Senior DevOps Engineer at Amazon/Ring, to consulting across multiple US engagements. He saw the same pattern everywhere — companies could not find experienced DevSecFinOps talent, and the consultancies they hired delivered advice when they needed execution.

Christiane Barbosa came from a different world entirely — architecture, urbanism, and government-scale project governance. Nearly 20 years managing complex projects, including 50M+ BRL portfolios at a major federal bank. She recognized that the operational rigor, budget discipline, and quality assurance she applied to construction are exactly what tech companies lack. The "Arch" in Archworks carries both meanings.

Archworks was founded to fix this. We embed senior practitioners into your team. We scope consulting engagements to outcomes, not hours. And we are building AI agents that multiply the impact of everything we do.

We are not trying to become the next big consultancy. We are building something different: a team of engineers who deliver, a consulting model that works, and AI tools that make the whole SDLC better.

What Drives Us

Our mission and values

Help engineering teams ship faster, stay secure, and spend smart — through practitioners who do the work and AI that multiplies the impact.

Deliver, do not advise.

We build working systems. We write production code. We do not hand over a document and wish you luck.

Transfer knowledge, always.

Every engagement makes your team stronger. Documentation, runbooks, and hands-on teaching are not optional extras — they are part of the work.

Be honest about what we know — and what we do not.

We are deep in DevSecFinOps. We will tell you when something is outside our expertise and help you find the right partner.

Outcomes over hours.

We measure success by what changes in your systems and your team's capabilities, not by the number of hours we billed.

Stay technical.

Our founders write code. Our consultants build pipelines. We will never be a company where the people selling the work cannot do the work.

Our Approach

Security, cost, and operations are not three problems. They are one.

Most organizations treat DevOps, security, and cost management as separate disciplines. Separate teams. Separate tools. Separate budgets. This fragmentation creates the exact problems they are trying to solve: security gets bolted on too late, costs are invisible until the bill arrives, and operations is left holding everything together.

DevSecFinOps is the practice of unifying these concerns. Security policies enforced in every pipeline. Cost awareness embedded in every deployment. Operational excellence as a first-class citizen of every architectural decision.

This is not a new acronym for the sake of it. It is how modern engineering teams actually need to work — especially when they are scaling, handling compliance requirements, and trying to control costs at the same time.

Archworks was built around this unified approach. Every practitioner we embed, every consulting engagement we scope, and every AI agent we build considers security, cost, and operations together. Because that is how problems actually show up in production.

Your infrastructure challenges are not going to solve themselves.

Whether you need an experienced engineer embedded in your team next week, a consulting engagement to fix what is broken, or a partner who understands where DevSecFinOps and AI are headed — Archworks is the conversation worth having.

30 minutes. No pitch deck. Just a technical conversation about what you are dealing with.
